The teacher that learns you.

A new language is a deep forest in the fog. Holt maps what you actually know — and walks the path with you.

At first, everything is fog.

You cannot see what you already hold, what is slipping away, what you have never touched at all. Most apps answer that with streaks and points — engagement metrics wearing the costume of progress. We measure the knowledge instead.

Something goes on ahead of you.

Holt keeps a living model of what you know and finds your next step — the one thing that is ripe right now. Not a course on rails. A route through your own graph, drawn again after every answer.

The first thing that holds.

No grades, no guilt, no carrot on a stick. You simply practise, and one day the word that blurred yesterday stands still. Quiet achievements grow on their own, like mushrooms after rain — pleasant, never the point.

There is no finish line. That is the honest part.

A language never ends, so we never draw a fake hundred per cent. What we do instead: hold the intervals, bring back what you forgot, and keep walking beside you — however far you go.

What that means in practice

A map, not a level

“B1” says almost nothing. Holt shows a knowledge graph: what you hold, what wobbles, what is still in the fog. Learn and the mist clears; forget and it honestly rolls back.

It sees the mistake and knows what it means

Every answer updates the model of you. The engine diagnoses what is shaky, then hands you exactly the next thing worth learning — no busywork, no filler.

Knowledge that holds itself

Skills are woven together: use something complex and the simple things beneath it stay alive without drilling. Practice grows from your own texts and your own world.

Your language, not just English

Holt is built as a matrix of native and target languages — not one course translated seven times.

Questions and answers

What is Holt?
Holt is an AI language tutor for busy adults. It keeps a living model of your knowledge — a skill graph — decides what to give you next, and locks learning in with adaptive spaced repetition.
How is Holt different from Duolingo or LinguaLeo?
No streaks, no leagues, no pressure. Holt does not optimize engagement — it optimizes learning: it knows what you hold, what you forgot, and never drags you through what you already know.
Which languages are available?
First pairs: Russian ↔ English, English → Arabic, Russian ↔ German, English → Italian, Russian → Spanish. More pairs are generated as the platform grows.
Do I have to practice every day?
No. Nothing burns down if you skip a day. The repetition schedule adapts to your rhythm: miss a week and Holt recalculates the plan instead of punishing you.
What does "a graph instead of levels" mean?
Levels like B1 average you out. A graph is a measured map: which skills you hold, which are shaky, which are untouched. You only review what is actually fading.
Can I start now, and what does it cost?
Yes — Holt is open. Sign in with your email and start; no invite, no waiting list. Pricing is not settled yet, and we will announce it well before anything changes. No spam, ever.
